Perseverance IV[edit]

(edit nomination page)

  • ... that 32.25 tons of perseverance was required when ferrying grain from the fields of Surrey to London?

  • Hmmm, finally managed to track this nom page down. The article looks fine, however, we usually only run this kind of misleading hook on April Fools' Day. Suggest you come up with something more straightforward. Gatoclass (talk) 14:26, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it might make a nice change, seeing as hooks in this style tend to get very high view stats - it makes people want to click and find out more. That said, an alternative might be "that Perseverance IV is the last floating River Wey barge in existence? But it's a bit dull in comparison ;-) The Cavalry (Message me) 14:46, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why not just save this for April Fools? I think I've fixed the link. Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:56, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe, but the barge might not be there in April next year. The Cavalry (Message me) 19:58, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article would be, but if you prefer a faster rotation then the ALT would be okay. Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:08, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since there doesn't seem to be a strong view either way, I'm verifying both hooks and leaving the choice to the promoter. Gatoclass (talk) 04:07, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
