This diagram shows the Lockerbie line as crossing over the G&SWR main line north of Dumfries and entering the station from the west. This is a mistake, isn't it? The Lockerbie line just entered from the east in the normal way. There was a Caley goods station to the east of the G&SWR main line that had a separate access, but that's a different matter.

Could someone confirm this and alter the diagram please? Afterbrunel (talk) 12:16, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Jowett I have in front of me the lines did exactly as the diagram shows. (Jowett's Railway Atlas, inset page 29). Britmax (talk) 15:36, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually the diagram is wrong. The junction of the two GSW lines is near the station and the Caley line crosses one, the turns east to join the other one. It will need tweaking. Britmax (talk) 15:40, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
