I repurposed this template redirect as a country-flag template, similar to {{EUR}} ( Europe) but for use in situations where it is the EU per se, not Europe as a geographical or cultural entity, that is being referenced. I used this name because it wasn't being used otherwise and I every other relevant name was in use for something else. (I didn't want to use a clumsy name or use complicated template hacks.)

I hope I didn't break anything; I fixed all the inclusions in the main namespace to use {{EU countries}}. EdC 01:09, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
