Criteria addition[edit]

{{editprotected}} I thought of putting two more criteria in this edit notice. First off, don't add an entry without a reference that asserts notability or that entry will be immediately removed. Not done: {{edit protected}} is not required for edits to unprotected pages, or pending changes protected pages. You can either discuss this change in the village pump or make the change yourself. --JokerXtreme (talk) 11:42, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's not allowing me to edit this because it says "this editnotice can only be created or edited by administrators and accountcreators." I am neither of those. Mr. C.C.^{Hey yo!}_{I didn't do it!} 12:43, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TFOWR's left sock (talk) (who is neither an administrator nor an accountcreator) was also unable to edit the edit notice. (Done a bit of digging: edit notices in the Template name space can only be edited by admins or accountcreators).

The first one makes perfect sense to me - we want to stress that we need WP:CITEs: it's not enough for a subject to be notable, the requester has to demonstrate that. I'm happy with that: can you propose text to add?

The second one, I'm not so sure. They're already on the talk page, and the talkpage is littered with requests. I'm sure they'll make a request or ask anyway. But maybe I'm missing something? Early for me, not enough coffee, etc. TFOWR 09:17, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
