The result of the move request was: page moved. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:42, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Ehime F.C.Template:Ehime FC – This club name is Ehime FC. Gonta-Kun (talk) 08:14, 4 April 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Hhhhhkohhhhh (talk) 04:18, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(Gonta-Kun notes that he has reverted the edits I expressed concerns about.) Gonta, thank you for your willingness to make changes. But since the move request is still open even though the target redirecting elsewhere, I still wonder how the move would affect the pages where the templates are used. Dekimasuよ! 11:34, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Dekimasu: according to the transclusions of the Template:Ehime FC redirect, the target should be this template, because as of now, the only thing the articles show (near the bottom) is the name link as it appears from {{Fb team Ehime FC}} – example: 2012 Ehime FC season#References. Instead, those pages should show this navbar, {{Ehime F.C.}}. So this (pretty much technical) template page move will fix those articles.  Paine Ellsworth  put'r there  09:19, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PS. I suspect that the renames at Template talk:F.C. Gifu and Template talk:Tochigi S.C. are similarly but technical, also. I read somewhere that full stops (periods) are not used in the Japanese names and so should not be used in English translations. PPS. To editors Dekimasu and Gonta-Kun: I also wonder how MOS:POINTS may apply to all this? PPS left by  Paine Ellsworth  put'r there  00:59, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Dekimasu: it is totally legit that changing Template:Ehime FC as a redirect to Template:Ehime F.C. instead of Template:Fb team Ehime FC. Template:Fb team Ehime FC should not had redirect and those template should obsolete at all (see previous mass deletion discussion of those "Fb team" templates), the old redirect was a relic of misnaming of the "Fb team" templates series. Also, since the club article was located in Ehime FC, it is a totally uncontroversial move. Matthew_hk tc 12:14, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
