{{editprotected}} Can I request that "topic=manga" be added to this template? A large percentage of the articles in Category: Culture articles needing translation from Japanese Wikipedia actually relate to manga. It would be nice to have a separate category for manga and the larger category for everything else. I have created the category, but can't edit the template, since I'm not an admin. Broken link?[edit]

Um, the text is showing up as "Please expand this article with text translated from the corresponding article in the [[:{ja}:|Japanese Wikipedia]]." Shouldn't that just be a fluid link to the Japanese wiki? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 15:36, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please give an example of where this is happening (one or two specific articles). ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 19:28, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google Translate Link[edit]

The link to google translate generated by this template is currently broken. For example, the link in Kaoru Nakamaru is

 http://translate.google.com/translate?&u=http%3A%2F%2Fja.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%5B%5B%3Aja%3A%E4%B8%AD%E4%B8%B8%E8%96%AB%7Ccorresponding+article%5D%5D&sl=ja&tl=en

it should be

 http://translate.google.com/translate?&u=http%3A%2F%2Fja.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%E4%B8%AD%E4%B8%B8%E8%96%AB&sl=ja&tl=en

I am not sure if the problem is here or in Template:Expand language (non-Latin script). Anoyatu (talk) 23:30, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Machine translated text is pure garbage[edit]

This template is a waste of everyone's time. The machine translated text is garbage. This template is on pages dating from years and years ago, sometimes when the Japanese page contains nothing relevant. I suggest this template be deleted. JoshuSasori (talk) 06:51, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
