Problem with the |} at the beginning of the template[edit]

I suggest that the |} which some people want at the beginning of the template be removed. I acknowledge that it ruins some other templates when removed and when not, so I think that in the templates where it is needed, the |} should be added at the end of the previous template. At the template of 2013–14 Liverpool F.C. season#Reserve squad, nothing could be done except for the edit on this template, or the |} would appear alone, if you see the older page versions.

I recommend that you tell me which templates need the |} in their end so that I put it myself, in order not to have the |} at the beginning of the template, or we could create a new template which makes easier the whole process.

Update: I created this template so that we put it over the template when needed.

You need to get clear consensus and have a plan for identifying and fixing all the errors this causes before changing it. Its caused problems on a mass amount of pages, its simply not good enough.Blethering Scot 16:34, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is the point, if you find a page this causes an error, fix it by adding the Fb cs prefooter template or an |}, since it causes irreversible errors in this version. —SteliosGR (talk), 8 July 2013, 21.02 UTC.
You cant fix a problem by causing an even bigger one and not take responsibility for fixing it. The majority of editors wouldn't have a clue whats causing it nor look at the individual template. You either need to find a way to fix all the errors your fix causes or find a fix within the template. Simply saying I've fixed this but its caused all these pages to have errors but go ahead and fix it yourself if you can isn't good enough.Blethering Scot 21:20, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
