Context?[edit]

We had a lot of questions when we first started this, no one really knew how many hidden services there were, it had been suggested to us there was a very high turn over of hidden services, we wanted to confirm whether that was true or not, and we also wanted to do this so [we could ask] what are the hidden services, how popular are they are etc etc.
So our estimate for 'how many hidden services there are' over the period of which we ran our study, this is our graph plotting our estimate for each of the individual days as to how many hidden services there were on that particular day.

Now the next things we wanted to do was to try and categorise sites so as I said earlier we crawled all the hidden services that we could and we classified them into different categories based on what the type of content was on the hidden service site. The first graph I have it the number of sites in each of the categories. So you can see down there at the bottom we've got lots of different categories, we've got drugs, market places etc along the bottom and the graph shows the percentage of hidden services that we crawled that fit into each of these categories.

I would obviously rather cite the written paper on the matter, but I only found this video which was chock full of info. It made a few headlines, specifically that child porn sites was by far the most popular category by numbers of requests. Deku-shrub (talk) 16:08, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
