uniform across india?[edit]

are there regional variations like those in uniforms and colour? eg. the chevrons are white for TN police. calcutta police has white uniforms, peak caps have different colour bands. --Sodabottle (talk) 10:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you are right. Sure they do, but I don't really have those insignias, if you do, probably you can upload it and we can work out. Furthermore, I think, there might be some difficulty in arranging them in one single template because there are hell lot of states in our country. Moreover, the IPS uniform remains the same throughout the country and so does their insignia, the variation is just in State Police Services. Regards *Truth* (talk) 10:49, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
