Reinging champs[edit]

An idea - copying in the coding from Template:F1 race for the most recent race information at the bottom of the template. Thoughts? --Falcadore (talk) 06:02, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edits by IP to the doc subpage. That's not the name of the template. If you are suggesting additional params, or the creation of an additional one, request it clearly. — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 22:06, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 1 November 2016[edit]

The request is to invoke Module:InfoboxImage:

Currently the template has:
|image    = {{{Logo|}}}
|image2   = {{{Track map|}}}
I would ask that these two lines be changed to:
|image  = {{#invoke:InfoboxImage|InfoboxImage|image={{{Logo|}}}}}
|image2 = {{#invoke:InfoboxImage|InfoboxImage|image={{{Track map|}}}}}

@Zackmann08: Toggling for now. The edit is in the sandbox. Looks like it's a breaking change: it appears that the logo goes away after invoking InfoboxImage with (currently supported) syntax like |logo=[[File:Example.jpg|150px]] and |Track map=[[File:Spa-Francorchamps of Belgium.svg|250px]]. Marking not done for now. — Andy W. (talk) 15:27, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Andy M. Wang: the issue there is that the module has an option called "suppressplaceholder". This option (wait for it, this is going to blow your mind) suppresses placeholder images (SHOCKING RIGHT!?). Sorry, had to throw a little humor in there. Anyway.... This param is optional but basically unless you add in |suppressplaceholder=no it won't display any of the placeholder images. (See Module:InfoboxImage for more info.) The theory is to prevent them from finding their way into main articles when people copy and paste the example code from a template's doc. The downside is that it does mess up the sample. So basically 2 options, either add |suppressplaceholder=no to both image and image2, or use a different image for the sample in the documentation. I'll defer to your judgement on which you think is best. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 16:40, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, understood, thanks I've left it out as originally suggested. Done — Andy W. (talk) 16:51, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New row with current season as in F1?[edit]

Something like this:

|current_season = 2024 Indianapolis 500 Tamás Szüts (talk) 17:05, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add this:

|current_season =

Sure, I support. Is it a discussion or request for help? Pelmeen10 (talk) 15:22, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I think it is fairly likely that someone searching "Monaco Grand Prix" is looking for information on this weekends event, rather than just general information about the event's history. SSSB (talk) 19:08, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
