The Tornado Populated Place Has Been Eliminated.[edit]

The Tornado populated place has been eliminated by the United States Geological Survey. As a result, I am removing Tornado from the list of populated places. The article that was linked to has already been renamed Tornado Post Office. See the discussion there for more details. Thpn (talk) 18:13, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Our naming conventions say that all communities are named "Placename, Statename"; simply "Placename Post Office" doesn't fit. The community can't have ceased to exist unless everyone moved away, in which case it would still be a ghost town, and we include ghost towns in these templates.
