synchronize style with {{ill}}[edit]

The appearance of this template should be synchronized with {{ill}}, as they seem to be used interchangeably. Why does this one put the other-language link in a superscript while {{ill}} doesn't? Set theorist (talk) 05:03, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Boldly redirecting[edit]

@Michael Bednarek:I just did demonstrate how a merged template would work by redirecting :) Seriously, though, in my view, the lost functionality of not having superscript is much less damaging to the Wiki than having duplicate templates. For example, at {{ill}}, there's a discussion about a potentially complex change. If the change happens there, it will also need to be done here, or it might never be done here, and neither are a good situation. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:47, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it just made the link-interwiki templates within articles look like this: [[{{{2}}}]] ([[:{{{1}}}:{{{2}}}|{{{1}}}]])
I think the problem is that the two templates have different paramaters so a simple redirect won't work. But I'm not sure, since I don't know a lot about wiki code. (I only came here before Michael Bednarek reverted because I noticed a broken template on a page I watch). —Msmarmalade (talk) 03:57, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in that case, I shall now punish myself with a serious flogging. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 04:12, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
