- Because the photo of the female is a featured picture and the Picture of the day must be of featured status. The photo of the male is not, and therefore is ineligible to be POTD at this time. howcheng {chat} 04:53, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Does this picture inform us why the bird got the wonderful name? Look at this picture, the female. Can't you see such a drab and boring looking bird anywhere in the world?
