I propose making the following changes:

  • Change the title to one of the following:
    • Chinese language romanization (Sounds more fluid than "Romanization for Chinese language"
    • Chinese language romanization systems
    • Chinese language transcription
    • Chinese language transcription systems
(In all of the above, the word "language" would be optional)
  • Change "Pinyin" to "Hanyu Pinyin". The word "Pinyin" in Chinese could technically mean any romanization system, including Wade-Giles(威妥玛拼音). What is being referred to as "Pinyin" in the Pinyin article is officially called 汉语拼音 (Hanyu Pinyin).

How can I add a new item to RCL?

I want to add a BUC to the table "RCL". Please help me!

Romanized BUC, a romanized writing system of Fuzhou dialect,in Chinese it is called "羅馬平話字". The writing system was invented in the 1850s, by some American missionaries. You can check out these pages to have a view: http://historical.library.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/cul.cdl/docviewer?did=cdl181&view=50&frames=0&seq=5 http://historical.library.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/cul.cdl/docviewer?did=cdl180&seq=3&frames=0&view=50 http://historical.library.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/cul.cdl/docviewer?did=cdl180&seq=9&frames=0&view=50

Bàng-uâ-cê is not included in the table "RCL", so how can I edit it? If someone could help me, just add a new category called Min Dong right under Min nan and put Bàng-uâ-cê in it.

Just like this:

Min Nan For ...

Min Dong For Fuzhou dialect Bàng-uâ-cê

Hakka For ...

Please help me do that, or tell me how to do it. Thank you!!! --GnuDoyng 01:38, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
