Template talk:S-civ

Template:S-civ is permanently protected from editing because it is a heavily used or highly visible template. Substantial changes should first be proposed and discussed here on this page. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit template-protected}} to notify an administrator or template editor to make the requested edit. Usually, any contributor may edit the template's documentation to add usage notes or categories.

Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. This template does not have a testcases subpage. You can create the testcases subpage here.

New template documentation[edit]

{{editprotected}} I have created a documentation page for this template at Template:S-civ/doc. Most protected templates have their documentation transcluded in this manner so that it may be edited by non-admins. Edit Protect Request[edit]

{{editprotected}} A solution to above: I am trying to standardize these templates a bit more by attempting to remove the required pipe after open parameters and make the defaults work properly. Please make the following changes:

In the template, replace the current: {{{else=Civic Offices||{{{test={{{1|}}}|1|}}}}}}{{#switch:{{{1}}}

With: {{#if:{{{1}}}||Civic offices}}{{#switch:{{{1}}} |#default={{{1|Civic offices}}}

This will create a default parameter that will allow old pipe links to work as well as new non-pipe links to work, without negating the integrity of the template. Thank you!

Move colour to top border as per WT:SBS discussion[edit]
