Little alternation[edit]

Hello! Could someone replace the current version by that one please?

|width="30%" align="center" rowspan="{{{rows|1}}}"|'''Incumbent'''{{#if:{{{heir|}}}|<br/><div style="font-size:90%">{{#if:{{{heir-type|}}}|{{{heir-type}}}|Designated heir}}:<br/>{{{heir}}}</div>}}
|-<noinclude>

{{Protected template}}
[[ro:Format:S-inc]]
</noinclude>

I just enlarged the font size a bit (I think it needn't be thus small) and I removed the italic style. Louis88 13:33, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Protected[edit]

{{editprotect}} Please update the code of this template with the following. All current functions of the template will be retained but a new /doc pages has been added and two parameters have been added for better compatibility with certain templates. Feel free to add the protected status back onto the template; the code below omits it. Also, copy from the source code, not the view display.

Small edit[edit]

{{editprotected}} Please change {{/doc}} to {{Documentation}} for appearance sake. I am doing it across the system since it seems to be the preferred format.
Darius von Whaleyland, Great Khan of the Barbarian Horde 00:00, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{documentation}} or {{template doc}}? I fear that there are two conflicting rival common ways of doing this, and it may be better to wait for something to happen with respect to the merge request between them. --ais523 12:01, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Designation[edit]

{{editprotected}} I'm not happy with the phrase "Designated heir:". In the case of the British throne and peerages (where I noticed it), the succession is automatic, not depending on anyone to designate the heir. It would also be good if heir apparent and heir presumptive could be distinguished. —Tamfang (talk) 22:34, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, we only use the parameter for automatic successions, so this makes for a pretty bad choice of words. However, a better one must be found if we are to change it, so I am listening to suggestions.
By the way, there is a parameter, "heir-type", where one can write "Heir apparent" or "Heir presumptive" and that will be displayed instead of the standard heir message ("designated heir"). It is mentioned in Template:S-start#S-inc, but I suppose I ought to add it here as well. See Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom for an example of its use. Simple Heir would be better, as the default. Please change. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 15:26, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense to me. "Heir" is the simplest and likeliest to fit all cases.  Done, — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:47, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hm ... Some would insist that an heir-apparent or heir-presumptive is only a potential heir, because no one is a just-plain-heir until he has inherited. —Tamfang (talk) 08:00, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TBA[edit]

Sorry, I don't understand. You'll have to be much more specific than that. Also, I suggest leaving a proposal here for a few days to allow people to comment before using {{editprotected}}. Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:14, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
