Text might be hard to read on the grey background[edit]

This template doesn't seem to follow MOS:COLOR. It seems to have two problems:

  • it specifies a background colour but no foreground colour: computers with different default foreground-background colour pairs might show different foreground colours on the same background, perhaps they'll even use the same colour as foreground that this template uses as background colour.
  • When text a foreground and a background colour, they should be made reasonably different from each other: if you make the foreground either black or white, you can use one of the background colours from this table of colours known to be readable. As for the link, I guess you could change it's foreground colour, or maybe change the background behind the link to be different than that behind the other text... or just use something like template:ombox, if we're just trying to show what a template might look like.

I guess I could change this myself, but since there's so many colours that could work and it's not obvious which ones to choose, I guess it's better to ask first. – Pretended leer {talk} 20:14, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
