Moving "related games" out of this template[edit]

I propose moving the "Related games" row, including Freedom Planet, Spark the Electric Jester and Spark the Electric Jester 2 entries, out of this template and to the "Related video games" row of Template:Sonic the Hedgehog. Reasons:

  1. The games are not fan games of Sonic the Hedgehog. Although they were initially developed as fan games they ended up becoming original IPs, and such games should be treated as "games inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog" and no different from Nights into Dreams, Balan Wonderworld and such.
  2. The said related games are not mentioned in the List of unofficial Sonic the Hedgehog media article.

Oh no. I just found another problem with the three games - they are not mentioned anywhere in the Sonic the Hedgehog series article either! Readers who discover these three games in the navbox have no idea on why the games were related to Sonic. The target articles of the three games have mention of Sonic series, there is no reverse mention of the games in Sonic article. Explorer09 (talk) 18:35, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please, one duscussion at a time. You've already got that merge discussion going that already touches on this. Sergecross73 msg me 19:13, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what the merge discussion is, but the "related games" row should probably be removed altogether. Is the criteria for inclusion there just being inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog? Reconrabbit 20:14, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
