Discussion etc[edit]

Nice work, and yes, "member is a member" was pure idiocy, sorry about that! ;-) — Matt Crypto 17:09, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I made it so that if this template is added to a user page then that user is automatically included in the Category:WikiProject Cryptography members. And I made it with some advanced code so it only happens when the template is added to user pages, not when it is added to other kinds of pages. (Gotta have some fun and experiment a little.) --David Göthberg 20:49, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Selinker suggested changing the category from Category:WikiProject Cryptography members -> Category:WikiProject Cryptography participants since he thinks that is a better name (more welcoming to new users and doesn't imply that "membership" application is needed etc) and would make naming consistent across projects. I agree on that so I changed the category and also the text in the box to "participant in" instead of "member of". --David Göthberg 14:51, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
