Wikipedia logo[edit]
Hi. I recently updated the logo to an animated version, but was later reverted back to the static image on the basis that the user just didn't like it because they thought it was "too distracting", and that it was problematic for users due to being a file too large to download for users with slow or metered internet connections. My rebuttal to this argument is that users with slow or metered internet connections will not be at all concerned about user pages since they will want to spend their limited resources on more productive areas of Wikipedia such as using their resources on the actual articles. If they are counting kilobytes, or waiting long times for pages to load, then they sure aren't wasting any time doing the same stupid activities that are reserved for people who have the luxury of unlimited high speed bandwidth internet are capable of doing.
I would like to ask the community which logo they favor. The choices are the current one as it is, or you can choose the animated one below that will look like this:
