Tengana Festival

Tengana Festival is an annual festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Tongo Traditional Area.[1][2] It comprises Balungu, Winkongo and Pwalugu in the Upper East Region of Ghana.[3][4] It is also a festival of the Talensis.[5][6] It is celebrated in January.[7]

Celebrations[edit]

During the festival, there is traditional music and dancing whiles there is also general merry-making.[8][9]

Significance[edit]

This festival is a thanksgiving festival.[10]
