The Bootleg Series Vol. 7: That's What Happened 1982–1985 is a three-CD box set, compiling studio recordings and a live set by Miles Davis recorded between 1982 and 1985. The anthology was released by Columbia in 2022.

Background

The first CD contains recordings made in 1982 and 1983, most of them from the Star People sessions, and two from the Decoy sessions. The second contains alternate takes and full versions of recordings made in 1985 during the You're Under Arrest sessions. The third and final CD contains nine songs recorded at the 1983 Montreal International Jazz Festival, including full versions of two songs released on Decoy.
