Mariom Maria (born 1st September ) Maria was born in Jashore district town. Maria’s full name is MOSAMAD MARIOM BAGOM. In Bd Music Industry, Mariom Maria was well known as Maria. Nowadays she is a renowned face by the name of Maria in the music of Bangladesh.
Early life[edit]
Among the two sisters, Maria is the eldest. Mother Rizia Khatun and father Sheikh Golam Panchatan's eldest child Maria's childhood spent in Jashore region. Maria lost her father when she was at her very early age. Mother Rizia Khatun overcame many hurdles to establish them.[1]
Start learning of music[edit]
Maria's full name is Mosamad Mariom Bagom. In Bangladesh Music Industry, Mariom Bagom was well known as Maria. Nowadays she is a renowned face by the name of Maria in BD Music sector. Mother Rizia Khatun used to sing in harmonic voice and she was the initial teacher of Maris. Her mother's desire was that the girl would become a Music artist. So, when Maria was a three-year-old child, her mother enrolled her in Jashore branch of Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the music section. In addition to the music, Maria learned to dance and painting with music there. Some a few days child artist Maria learned singing in kochi konthor Ashor. After that, she admitted at 'Sur Bitan Sangeet Academy' of Music, in Jashore. Afterward, Maria completed special training on 'Nazrul & classical music'
Institutional Music Education[edit]
In a long way, Maria comes In touch with many talented music scholars in her music life. Institutional music education started at Jashore Shishu Academy. Her first music teacher was Ustad Liaquat Ali Khan. After that, Maria became more prosperous, with the help of Ustad Shah Mohammed Morshed and Ustad Mosharraf Hossain. For a long time, Maria trained Ostad Sanjib day on various subjects of music. In 1999, it was a good song recognition Maria is listed as a modern song artist in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television. Maria is currently performing in the special grade of Bangladesh radio and television. She, first came on the first TV screen through the newcomer's music program. Her mother and husband are the inspiration for her devotion to music. Samina Chowdhury, Subir Nandi, Asha Bhonsle, Manna De are Maria's Favorite Artists. She is regularly Performing on stage music besides the musical programs on Radio and Television.
Music Awards[edit]
Maria has achieved National music award for her talent as a teenager. Out of which there are significant awards are National Child Award Competition organized by the Bangladesh Shishu Academy under the Ministry of Social Welfare in 1991. In this, Maria's got the first place in Hamd / Nat (Islamic music).
Then only at the age of 14 she got first place in Rabindra Sangeet, in 'Chader Hat Festival Children's Prize Competition-92' Organized by Jashore Shilpakala Academy in 1992.
In 1994, at the age of 16, the cultural group Shonket the Inter-district branch of Jashore, Maria again received first prize in the modern Bengali song. In 1994, Maria received the National Award from Nazrul Music from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Music artist Maria has also performed regularly in Dhaka's Dhanmondi Alliance Francis de Gallery.
Professional career[edit]
Maria has finished her studies as she completed her graduation from MM College in Jashore in 2005. She started her first career life as a music teacher. Than after she joined the BIT International English Medium School in Banani, Dhaka. After two years she this teaching profession. At one point she Joined as a music teacher in 'Bulbul Lolito Kola Academy' (BAFA) of Dhaka. At this stage, Maria provided institutional music education to a large number of students. In addition to teaching, Maria has been performing stage concerts and music. Gradually her popularity keeps increasing. From there, many fans grow up, And along with the stage, at the same time she keeps on getting numerous opportunities from television and radio stations. Including BTV and other national televisions, Maria performed live concerts in almost all satellite television channels of the country including BTV. Besides all of these, she also got a platform to become a judge at the show 'Talent Hunt'. Music artist Maria has also been involved organizationally with the Bangladesh Television and Radio Artisan organization for a long time. Afterwards, Maria joins in satellite television. Maria wants to live within music into everyone's heart, wants to go further in the path of success.

As a stage performer, she's one of the qualified ones. She is expert in Bengali songs- folk, modern, Lalon, and she also performed in Urdu, English, and Hindi in the stage, She also has records of performing in foreign countries ( USA, Thailand, Malaysia and India)First Solo AlbumIn 1999, Maria's first solo album 'Prem er Pathshala' was unleashed. This album was loved by many; it gained a large number of popularity. Sangeeta had featured this album and the composer was Late Pronob Ghosh. This album is a variety of folk.Second Solo AlbumIn 2011, 28th May she released an album named 'Dub Satari" featured by G- Series composers. By the help of a program, 'Dub Satari' was first launched. There were many honorable guests from media; Musician Apple Mahmood, Late Abdul Jabbar Khan, actor Abdul Aziz, Sharmili Ahmed, Khairul Alam Shobuj, Toru Mostofa, Rita Banarjee, Solaiman Khoka, and prominent musician Fatema- Tuz- Johora. Besides many print and electronic media was there.Along with single albums, she also has many mixed albums. Those albums are: Akaash Lina, composer- Bashu Deb Bashu, Priyo Mukh, composer- Shaan, Mutho Akaash, composer- Shaan, Jhum Borshay, composer- Shaan, Lalon Fusion, composer- Borno, Bhalobasho Na, composer- John and Buk er Pakh, composer- Rezwan Sheikh. Musician Maria has a Youtube channel named 'Mariom Maria' where she daily posts her songs for her fans (Drama / Movie's playback songs) Drama/Movie/Playback songs.Maria had sung for many movies. Most notable movies are: 'Shortcut Borolokh', 'Baap boro na Shoshur boro', 'Zero theke Top Hero', 'Hero 2', 'Ei tumi shei tumi', 'Arpita' and etc.Social Jobs through Music'sMaria had given her voice on visual music in Bangladesh Betar and TV organized by UNICEF. The name of this program was 'Ma o Shishu Shastho Bishoy', moreover she performed for the benefit of deprived children without any remuneration. All songs are still there in Bangladesh Betar and TV. Every year these songs are played on festivals. In the future, Maria wants to keep on going with these activities. Till now, Maria's recorded songs are at least 1500.]
