Bataclan attacks[edit]

Bataclan attacks

Compared to loss of life at all locations of the attacks, the most dead occurred at the Bataclan theatre. [7]

The attack occurred in a concert, sold out at a capacity of 1500 seats, being performed by the [8] Californian [9] musicians Eagles of Death Metal. [8] Attack began as musicians Eagles of Death Metal were playing a song entitled Kiss the Devil. [10] The attacks began at approximately 21:40 hours. [11]

According to one report, the three men first shot people who were standing at the bar, according to three witnesses who were on the balcony when the shooting began, they described the reaction from the concert attendees as like a "gust of wind through wheat". According to the same witnesses, approximately 50 people exited the concert hall and moved to the roof area, where they remained for about two hours. [12]

One sent a text message to someone in Belgium, "it's started". [10]

Firing into a crowd of people shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest).[7] “Where is the singer? Where are the Yanks?” , “You are bombing with the Americans, so we are targeting you and the Americans." [7]

One laughing and playing the xylophone|| "anyone who moves will be killed" || witness sees gunman smiling while firing|| "This is for our brothers in Syria and Iraq" || "What you are experiencing, our wives and our children experience that every day"|| "Anyone who wants to leave should get up and go", they fired at anyone who got up, they laughed at this ("it made them laugh") || - http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2016/01/01/world/bataclan-bloodbath-survivors-recall-killers-laughing-taunting-shooting-anyone-tried-move/#.Vu2_d_DfWK1

Spoke to each other in the Arabic language, and to the concert attendees in the French language. [7]

Ordered people to stand at doors and windows. [7]

Shooter laughing, and also laughing as he fired at people. [13]

Police attendance[edit]

At approximately 22:00 hours, the first officer arrived at the scene. [11] He was the head of the anti-crime brigade unit, accompanied by his driver, they proceeded to both fire at, and consequently shoot dead one of the three militants within the theatre. At the time, the man himself was preparing to end the life of one of the theatre attendees. [14]

22:15 RAID [11] BRI [9]

23:15 located militants [11]

Killing continued on the second floor, a militant shot at those fleeing to below. [13] Took mobile phones from concert attendees and first tried to access the internet, couldn't connect, instead phoned, and requested to speak to a police negotiator. [7]

23:27 - negotiater. Held twenty hostages, spoke to police negotiators five (four) times before police engaged. Threatened to behead hostages every five minutes and throw corpses from the windows on the condition the police decided to not retreat. [11] burned banknotes (ed. 2nd source) [10]

< wanted the police to feel the same fear as people in Syria > || "This is war, and it is just the beginning, we will kill the innocent" || "Do you hear their cries their suffering ? It is to make you feel the fear that the people in Syria feel every day"|| - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/12000822/Paris-attacks-policeman-gives-first-account-of-Dantes-Inferno-scene-at-Bataclan-concert-hall.html

“We can see your lasers, we can hear you at the door...”, “I want you to leave the country. I want you to withdraw your armies. I want it written down on a piece of paper and signed." , “Move away from the doors. We have belts. We’ll blow ourselves up if you get closer. We have hostages. We even have a policeman.” [7]

00:20 - storm [11]

The DNA of Najim Laachraoui was found on a piece of cloth and a suicide vest. [15]

Bystander killed[edit]

[16]

reporting / accounts inconsistency[edit]

"When the killing moved upstairs, Mr. Fritz made a run for an open window " ... "As the two remaining terrorists worked to assemble their hostages, a police officer from the Brigade Anti-Criminalité killed one of them." [13]

Then he spotted one of the terrorists 25 metres away on the stage, aiming his Kalashnikov at his next victim. “He was very poised, he looked very calm, he gave orders without appearing stressed at all,” he told the radio station. “Given the carnage, we had no doubts about what we had to do. I advance along a handrail along a pillar next to the bar for support and to steady my aim," he said. "We opened fire immediately. We hit him. We kept on firing until he fell to the ground. We didn’t fire many shots – I shot four times, and my colleague twice. He fell moaning. Straight afterwards, there was an explosion. Then we realised that they were likely to blow themselves up with explosive vests,” he said.[14]
