Christian Ulbrich is a German executive who is the president and chief executive officer of real estate services company JLL.
Career[edit]
After graduating from the University of Hamburg, Ulbrich initially worked in finance roles at MeesPierson and Rabobank Nederland.[4] In 1996, he was named the CEO of Bank Companie Nord,[4] following which he was hired by Warburg Bank to lead its real estate group HIH.[1][4]
He was hired by real estate services company JLL to manage its German operations in 2005.[1][5] In 2016, JLL named him as its global president and[6] the company's global CEO.[7] According to the German business publication Immobilien Zeitung, he was the first German in global leadership of one of the major real estate companies.[7]
Ulbrich is part of the World Economic Forum's International Business Council and its Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders.[8]

But instead of taking over the family timber merchant, he gained an internship at a local bank, which led him to a career in finance: economics at Hamburg University, Allianz Insurance in London and spells in international commodity markets for Rabobank Nederland and MeesPierson.
