Hello! I'm Anne, and I am currently an undergraduate student based in Houston, TX majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities. My areas of interest include nutrition and health disparities, social justice, the LGBTQ+ community and Filipinx-American history. I am looking forward to creating my second contribution to Wikipedia this semester, as I plan to use my critical thinking skills and available resources to produce quality articles on topics that I care about most. Previous Project (Fall 2019)

Delano Grape Strike

Previously, I worked on the article "Delano grape strike." My personal interest in this topic stems from my Filipinx-American identity. This event is not only significant in American history but also in Filipinx-American history. However, Filipinx-American contributions tend to be erased from history, and this article is an example of that. While working on this project, I revised this article to bring light to the Filipino farm workers and their involvement. Additionally, I expanded more on the impact that the Delano grape strike, as it opened doors for other immigrants and people of color and inspired the Chicanx and Filipinx communities to demand rights beyond the fields.
