i'm gonna have to try and do this now i've noticed it aren't i

random notes as/when i think of them[edit]

  • could Exampletown train station & Exampletown bus station both potentially be referred to from just Exampletown station? As in, for Wikipedia's purposes, could [X] station be plausibly used as a search term for both a train station and a bus station in [X]? (is [X] station an ambiguous term?) ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 03:26, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
  • would this fall under WP:BROADCONCEPT or not? i've literally no idea. this note is to remind me to read that and try and understand ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 04:55, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
i don’t think it does actually? a town/city/place isn’t a broad concept or type of thing (i don’t think), & train stations/consistencies/etc aren’t instances or examples of that concept or type (i don’t think). a physical place is a physical place, places within it/that share its name aren’t instances or examples of that geographic area/place. ofc i could just be misunderstanding this and be completely wrong. ‍—‍a smart kitten[meow] 11:31, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
