Starting with devotional music when he was 10, keyboardist and guitaristAbhilash Ashok Kumar, learnt the nunances of music from his father Ashok Kumar, a famous guitaristin the city. While pursuing his Bachelors of Business Management at Kongunadu College of Arts and Science, he performed for Art of Living by Sri Arunmadhavan and spiritual guru Mata Amritanandamayi. “After my devotional stints, I realized my interest in rock and pop music and appliedfor grade examinations in trinity College of Music, London, and in April 2013 completed Grade 8 in the rock and pop category,” (Grade 8 being the highest grade in Trinity College of Music, London),Completed Grade 8 in Keyboard,Guitar,Bassguitar,Theory of music …

He teaches Guitar,Piano,keyboard,theory….

He & his ABAK MUSIC ACADEMY , guides the students to graduate at various levels from Trinity college London where renowned Masteros like ilayaraja & A.R.Rahman have stamped their marks.

His aim is to encourage & motivate students to learn music and he is widely encouraged by his parent's (Mr.Ashok Kumar & Mrs.Usha Devi) and his brother Mr.Akash.

As a part of city-based Music Academy, he has been training young students in rock & pop music form 2012.

Orchestra & Stage Performance

1. Played on stage with bands of famous playback singers at the age of 14 Onwards.
2. Part of famous ‘Mallisseri Orchestra’ since 2010 as Guitarist& Keyboardist
3. Live performances & recordings for Mata Amritanandamayi and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar&Arunmadhavan
4. Jugalbandhi – as a Hindusthani with Grammy Award winner and Hollywood music director Mr. Lawrence Rosenthal on Western Piano at the International Music Concert “East Meets West” – 2007.

Teaching & Training

1. Working In Western Music Department as Teacher  at PSBB MILLENNIUM SCHOOL for the past 4 years.
2. Teaching for Trinity college London Grade exams …& Rock &  pop exams …..
3. Training for reality shows.
