Gender Pay Gap in India[edit]

There exists a parent article on “Gender Pay Gap”, which includes a section wise list presenting this issue in multiple countries. However, there is no specific information on this issue in India. While some basic information and statistics regarding this topic have been presented under the sub-topic Labour participation and wages in the Wikipage on Gender Inequality in India, I intend to include more detailed information (including possible explanations offered by experts in the field as to why this problem arose and continues to exist) from potential sources listed below from an India specific context:
