Josephine Hoxie Bartlett (fl.1880 - 12 June 1944) was a Scottish painter.[1]

Life[edit]

Her father was William Erskine Bartlett (1831 - 4 May 1900).

Her mother was Josephine Hoxie (15 May 1838 - 25 April 1910). William and Josephine married on 12 October 1859 in New York.

Josephine Hoxie Bartlett was born in 1866.[2]

Art[edit]

In 1887 she exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy her works: Head - A Study and Eleanore.[3]

In 1888 she exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy her work: A Brunette.[4]

She became a member of the Society of Scottish Artists in 1892.

Death[edit]

She died on 12 June 1944 in Manormead Nursing Home in Hindhead, Surrey.
