Charles Gordon Borrowman (30 April 1892 - 14 October 1956) was a Scottish painter.[1]

Life[edit]

His father was Philip Grierson Borrowman (25 June 1854 - 16 December 1916), a doctor from Glencairn in Dumfries-shire.

His mother was Elizabeth Gordon Mackintosh (1853 - 7 October 1931) from Fairlie in Ayrshire. Philip and Elizabeth married in Colombo in Ceylon on 25 November 1889.

Charles Gordon Borrowman was born on 30 April 1892 in Elie, Fife.

Married Ella Strickland Mulvany on 21st September 1928 in St Thomas's Cathedral, Bombay, India.

Married Gloria Esme McLeod (26 February 1906 - 18 November 1993) on 4th April 1933 at Holy Trinity Church, St Andrews & St Leonards, Fife, Scotland
