John Dick Bowie (11 October 1864 - 9 November 1913) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life[edit]
His father was John Dick Bowie [Snr.]. (c. 1831 - 1875). {father was Daniel Bowie, a bootmaker; mother was Janet Dick}
His mother was Helen Thomson (born c. 1830). {father was Thomas Thomson (24 June 1778 - 1835), a linen manufacturer; mother was Helen Ferguson McAulay; married 24 July 1812 in Edinburgh.}
They married in 1860 in Duddingston, Edinburgh.
He married Janet Weatherhead (born 25 January 1869 in Edinburgh) in 1895.
Stayed at 21 Hillside, Edinburgh.
