Theodore Charles Ferdinand Brotchie (1868 - 4 January 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1]

Life[edit]

His father was the Rev. James Rainey Brotchie (27 March 1842 - 10 February 1878) from Kintore, Aberdeenshire. He had a parish in Ceylon for a time.

His mother was Ann Laing Watson (15 September 1849 - 21 February 1909) from Rafford in Moray.

Theodore Charles Ferdinand Brotchie was born c. 1874.

He married Jane Elizabeth Ramsay (8 May 1876 - 14 May 1948) from Ayr, on 7 June 1901 in Ayr Free Church.

He stayed at 939 Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow.[2]

Death[edit]

He died on 4 January 1937 in Montrose Royal Asylum. He was suffering from bronchopneumonia.

He is buried in Sleepyhillock cemetery, Montrose.[3]
