Alastair Sillars Burns (17 September 1911 - 6 December 1987) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life[edit]
His father was Dr. Charles Burns (5 June 1880 - 1945), from Larkhall, who became a Justice of the Peace.
His mother was Mary Sillars (1877 - 1977) from Broderick in Bute.
Alexander Sillars Burns, known as Alastair, was born on 17 September 1911 in Newmilns in Ayrshire.
