Ian Cheyne (10 May 1895 - 5 October 1955) was a Scottish painter.

Life[edit]

His father was Forbes Cheyne (born c. 1851), an Inland Revenue civil servant.

His mother was Florence Gertrude Cockshott (born 1856), known as Flossie, from Plymouth in England. Forbes and Flossie married on 19 June 1894 in Hendon, London.

Ian Cheyne was born on 10 May 1895 in Broughty Ferry.

He married Jessie Isabel Garrow (born c. 1888) in 1930 in New Kilpatrick.
