Amy Dalyell (22 August 1876 - 12 January 1962) was a Scottish painter.[2]

Life[edit]

Her father was John Thomas Dalyell (22 July 1827 - 12 July 1919) of India. He was an army officer.[3]

Her mother was Constance Louisa Parry (23 October 1839 - 27 December 1913) of St. Michael, Barbardos. John and Constance married in St. Michael, Barbados on 7 February 1861.

Amelia Mary Margaret Dalyell was born in Coonoor, India on 22 August 1876. She was brought up in Scotland.

She married James Wallace Birrell (died 1963).[4]

She died on 12 January 1962 in Surrey, England.

She is buried in St John and St Cuthbert cemetery in Edinburgh.
