John Milne Donald (1819 - 14 July 1866) is a Scottish painter.[1]

Life[edit]

His father was Thomas Donald (10 August 1795 - 11 February 1859) from Botriphnie in Banffshire.

His mother was Ann Milne (20 August 1798 - 23 May 1869) from Ellon in Aberdeenshire. Thomas and Ann married on 24 March 1818 in Aberdeen.

John Milne Donald was born in Nairn in 1819.

He married Mary Brodie (born 1827) on 4 March 1849 in Glasgow.

Art[edit]

Death[edit]

He died on 14 July 1866 in Partick, Glasgow.[3] The death certificate stated that he died of epilepsy.
