James Stirling Dyce (29 July 1853 - 5 December 1908) was a Scottish painter.
Life[edit]
His father was the Scottish artist William Dyce (19 September 1806 - 14 February 1864) from Aberdeen.
His mother was Jane Bickerton Brand (21 December 1830 - 29 December 1885) from Brixton, London, England. William and Jane married on 17 January 1850 in Brixton.
James Stirling Dyce was born in Norwood, Surrey c. 1854. In the 1891 census, he is recorded as born in Scotland.
