James Edgar (1819 - 5 October 1876) was a Scottish painter.<[1]
Life[edit]
His father was William Edgar (c. 1775 - 26 October 1849).
His mother was Christina Cowe (c. 1774 - 9 September 1855). William and Christina married on 16 May 1801 in Longformacus, near Duns.
James Edgar was born c. 1819 in Edrom, Berwickshire, near Duns.[2]
He married Mary Whitlock Palmer (c.1820 - 18 May 1875). They married in Edinburgh on 10 June 1841.[3]
