Helen Russell Salmon (17 October 1855 - 5 August 1891) was a Scottish painter.[1] SHe was one of the founders of the Glasgow Society of Lady Artists.

Life[edit]

Her father was James Salmon (c. 1795 - 5 June 1888), an architect from Glasgow.

Her mother was Helen Russell (born 14 April 1816) from Edinburgh. James and Helen married on 19 March 1837 in Glasgow.

Helen Russell Salmon was born on 17 October 1855 in Glasgow.

She married the artist Tom Hunt (1854 - 1929).

Death[edit]

She died on 5 August 1891 in Woodlands, Garelochhead. The value of her estate was given as £247, 10 shillings.
