George Straton Ferrier (15 March 1852 - 28 February 1912) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life[edit]

His father was the artist James Ferrier (c. 1811 - 9 August 1885), from Edinburgh.

His mother was Elizabeth Stuckey (born c. 1813), from Plymouth. James and Elizabeth married on 24 October 1837.

George Straton Ferrier was born on 15 March 1852 in Edinburgh.

He married Catherine Grubb (24 November 1854 - 28 January 1935) from Edinburgh. They married in Edinburgh in 1882.

Death[edit]

He died on 28 February 1912 in Edinburgh. He stayed at 41 Heriot Row with a studio at 34 Queen Street.

His estate was valued at £1186, 16 shillings and 5 pence.
