Robert Smith Forrest (29 March 1871 - February 1943) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life[edit]
His father was William Forrest (30 August 1844 - 7 April 1920), a saddler and harness maker from Auchterless, Aberdeenshire.
His mother was Margaret Wilson Smith (c. 1846 - 27 May 1919) from Glasgow. William and Margaret married in Edinburgh on 16 November 1866.
Robert Smith Forrest was born on 29 March 1871 in Edinburgh.
He married Edith Isabella MacRitchie (born 10 February 1872) in 1897 in Edinburgh.

He died in February 1943 at his home in 35 Scotland Street, Edinburgh.[2][3]
