Robert Love (8 January 1829 - 7 November 1887) was a Scottish painter.

Life[edit]

His father was William Tennant Love (c. 1796 - 1878).

His mother was Mary Stirrat (c. 1808 - 9 January 1892). They married on 9 June 1827 in Dalry.

Robert Love was born on 8 January 1829 in Dalry, Ayrshire, and baptised on 25 January 1829.

In 1851, at the age of 21, he was at college in Glasgow, staying at 120 Renfrew Street.[1]

He stayed at 40 Kent Rd, Glasgow.[2] Still there 1874[3]

In 1871 he was working as a lithographer in Dalry.[4]

He moved back to Dalry from Glasgow.[5]
