Alaa H. Al-Charrakh (born in Hilla, Iraq) is a professor and a former head of Medical Microbiology department at the University of Babylon[1]. Al-Charrakh received a master's degree from the University of Babylon in 1994 and a Ph.D. in 2005 from Baghdad University, under the supervision of Prof. Samira Y. Yousif [2]. He is co-editor-in-chief of the journal "Medical Journal of Babylon" (Wolters Kluwer, 2017, ISSN/E-ISSN: 1812-156X/2312-6760) [3], co-editor of the Klebsiella pneumoniae in Iraq (Lambert Academic Publishing, 2011, ISBN: 978-3-8443-1372-7), He is a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), U.K, since 2016 [4]. He is a member of the editorial board for several scientific peer-review journals worldwide [5]. Al-Charrakh's research interests include Antimicrobial resistance, Microbial Biotechnology, medical mycology, and Medical Microbiology [6]. Al-Charrakh has participated in several scientific conferences in Iraq, India, UK, Iran, since 1995, and Participated in several international scientific webinars online during the Covid-19 epidemic (since Mar 2020-Present).
