'Florence X. Faumuinā is a Pacific writer based in Wellington, New Zealand. Her heritage comes from the villages of Taputimu [American Samoa] and Lefaga [Samoa]. She also has Tuvalu and Tokelau ancestry.
Outside her freelance journalism writing she collaborated with Pacific writers in Niu Voices (Huia Publishers, 2006). She is also a performing poet having founded P-Town Poets Society, worked with the late Dr. Teresia Teaiawa and worked collaboratively with the South Auckland Poetry Collective.
