Oscar Rothaus

Oscar Rothaus was an American mathematician. He was Professor of Mathematics at Cornell University.

Rothaus made significant contributions in multiple areas of mathematics, and was one of the originators of Hidden Markov Models.[1] He also discovered new results in analysis, specifically on logarithmic Sobolev inequalities, and in algebra.
