AmuGa Temper (rapper)[edit]

AMU KWAKU GAMELI (born January 1, 1995) who is known in showbiz as AmuGa Temper is a Ghanaian based rapper and songwriter. Currently, a student of the University of Cape Coast who has 3 musical awards to his credit. Was awarded " OUTSIDE NORTHERN VOLTA ARTISTE OF THE YEAR " in the maiden version of the award scheme December 2017.[1]

He was born in Mafi-Kumasi, a small traditional town in the Volta Region of Ghana to Ahorbo Kafui. He is the fourth/last of the four children born by his parents. He developed the desire for rap at the age of eight(8) whiles writing raps on piece of papers and making his practices each and everyday privately. Whiles in the Secondary school, he started engaging in several Rap battles with the influence of several school colleagues. He

Recognition and Musical style[edit]

AmuGa Temper with his versatility, raps in his local dialect, (ewe) and in (pidjin). Notably a name on many lips in the Volta region and even some parts of the other nine(9) regions in Ghana who do not speak or understand ewe. Aside his release of several single and one album, he even recorded the ewe version of Ghanaian well known rapper, Sarkodie's hit song "HAND TO MOUTH" to help people in the Volta region understand the message the original song in Twi talked about.[2] In the year 2016, AmuGa Temper released a song titled, AGORKORLI[3], which was endorsed as the official theme song for the celebration of "MAFI - HOGBETSOTSO FESTIVAL" that same year.
