The current collaboration by the Tzatziki Squad is Advance Australia Fair. If you are a Squad member, it would be optimal if you helped tzatzikify the article. Thank you, and please keep enjoying Greek food.

Goals

These are the goals/tasks of the Tzatziki Squad members (feel free to add more, but note that stupid goals/tasks will be removed).

  • To write 20 featured articles (18 remaining). To qualify as a Tzatziki FA, the article must have been improved to FA status by at least two squad members.
  • To write 50 good articles (49 remaining). To qualify as a Tzatziki GA, the article must have been improved to GA status by at least two squad members.
  • To write 75 featured lists (72 remaining). To qualify as a Tzatziki FL, the article must have been improved by at least two squad members.
  • To write 75 "did you know" articles related to a collaboration (72 remaining).
  • To create 100 new articles related to a collaboration (95 remaining).
  • To accept requests for aid in mainspace in a wiki-mercenary-like manner—requesting only a "Thank you" in return.*
  • To push all points of view equally, thus canceling them all out to become neutral and unbiased.
  • To collaborate on a selected article (which is decided on the talk page), with the obvious aim of improving it.
  • To give regular peer reviews.
  • To perform audacious actions in line with the ignore all rules policy.

*Never accept requests to take sides in an edit war—unless you agree with the requesting user—only to mediate them. Multiple members may mediate, if necessary, or preferred.

Joining

To join this secret organization, add your name to the member list, below. An administrator or other established user in the Tzatziki Squad will probably have a look over your contributions to see if you meet the following criteria:

  • Be the founder of the Tzatziki Squad (applicable to User:AO only).
  • Must not be a frequent edit warrior.
  • Must not have been blocked in the past thirty days.
  • Should be either an administrator or a rollbacker; if neither condition is met, user must have at least 1000 edits, and be in good standing.
  • Should have written/helped write/expanded one or more articles to Good Article status, or further; if condition is not met, user must have at least 500 edits to mainspace.
  • Must hesitate to bite new users, make personal attacks, and violate WP:CIVIL.
  • Must not be in the Auzzee Cabal or the Bathrobe Cabal; we do accept defectors and double agents, however.
  • Ideally should prefer the Microsoft Windows operating system over the Mac OS X one, and should prefer Star Trek over Star Wars; these are not requirements, however, and candidates will not be rejected due to this (alone).
  • The ideal member should be able to frequently break all of the above rules, without ever being caught. (Using the mental manipulation taught in the early stages of the elite training. Piece of cake.)

Member list

These are the (in)famous Tzatziki Squad members. Please use format "{{admin|User:Example}}", or "{{userlinks|User:Example}}" if not an administrator (please do not add comments as well, to keep the list orderly). Members should watchlist this page.

Tzatzikification process

Start by deciding the collaboration.

1. Is the article a GA already?

  • Yes. Start amassing as many sources as possible and adding content like crazy. Contact any associated Wikiprojects, if any. Move on to step 3.
  • No. Oh boy. We got a lot of work to do. Research and cite stuff. Also make sure to do a copyedit and an image check. Double check with WP:WIAGA to make sure that it is okay for GAN. Since a GAN can be easily removed if one editor feels the article is not good enough, you don't need to check here. Move on to step 2.

2. What happened at GAN?

  • Pass. Go to step 1 and see yes. Milk reviewer's copyediting talents dry so that you're a step closer to brilliant prose.
  • On hold. Copyedit like crazy, and keep sources along. Milk reviewer. See pass or fail for outcomes.
  • Fail. Fix issues (this may take a while), then ask reviewer to review again. Redo step 2.

3. Peer review after lots more research and copyediting. Focus peer review on copyediting. For best results, leave a message on a trusted user's talk. After a suitable amount of opinion is received, feel free to take down and add more stuff. Head to step 4.

4. A-class review. Choose the most related Wikiproject and leave a message on their special page or just their regular talk. You may also want to directly ask a user. Check for content, if possible.

  • Pass. One step closer to FA. Move on to step 5.
  • Fail. Milk reviewer dry and do more work. Redo step 4.

5. Final copyedit. LOCE is inactive, so directly approach a known user for a hardcore copyedit, forwards, backwards, sideways, and upside down to avoid FAC guilt. Check for MOS stuff. The more copyeditors, the better. Hold a discussion on the TSQUAD talk or the article's talk to discuss readiness for FAC.

  • Go for it! Turn on coffee machine, head to step 6.
  • Let's wait. Redo step 5.

6. FAC. This is it! Work butt off, consume copious amounts of coffee.

  • It passed! Award barnstars, userboxes, bronze stars, enjoy margaritas. Go back to start.
  • We were close. Work on concerns, try another peer review, go back to step 5.
