Aviatsionniy is a microdistrict in Domodedovo Urban Okrug, Moscow Oblast, Russia. Is often referred to as Aviagorodok. It sits near the Moscow Domodedovo Airport, close to Domodedovo town, and about 30 kilometres (18 mi) from south of Moscow. The microdistrict is located on the Academica Tupoleva prospect between roads 46К-4050 to the west and 46К-9627 to the southeast.
It was built as Domodedovo Airport work settlement, started to receive its first residents in 1962. In 1983 Aviatsionniy was second at the USSR Best Aviation Town ranking, tied with "Pulkovo-2" settlement.[2]
The population was 12,700 at the 2014 census and an estimated over 20,000 in 2019.[3]
