Hi. I'm a new user and I was looking up the difference between EMPATHY and SYMPATHY. It seems that you know a lot on the subject since you learned under Rogers via Rosenburg. You said that attending a workshop changed your view on the world?? Can you enlighten me just a bit? I have an interview at Medical College of Georgia and a student there told me that I needed to understand the difference between the two give an example of when you've had the least of both during my life. I'm nervous and I don't want to look like an idiot. My understanding is that Empathy is to UNDERSTAND while Sympathy is to FEEL. Do you think this accurate?

Sorry for the intrusion,
